Venus
The next planet on our list, Venus. Once again, I have an easy version and a tougher version for the older kids.
Mercury
I am starting a new project for science. The kids not only made the solar system hats, but now are learning all about each planet. They will have their own little booklet by the end. I also have included some videos the kids can watch about Mercury:

C.S. Lewis Copywork
C.S. Lewis is one of my all time favorite authors. It's funny because as a child, I hated the book "The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe" yet as an adult, I have read and loved the whole series. He also writes many other interesting reads. If you haven't read any of his stuff yet, you should really check them out.

Rosa Parks
This quote is just long enough that you will need an extra page. There is a blank handwriting sheet here. This is the type of quote that gives kids character and helps them have the courage to stand up for the right. What a better example than Rosa Parks?
Solar System Hat
We had so much fun with this one. We cut black construction paper in half and let the kids color white stars all over it. Then we glued it to the size of their heads and they cut out the planets and glued them in order around the hat with the sun in front. My kids wore them until the hats wore out. I had no idea they would be such a hit!
Benjamin Frankling Copy work
Benjamin Franklin had so many good things to say. He was such a huge part of American history. I don't think we would ever run out of worth while quotes from him. Here are just a few to get you started.

It is so important to never stop learning. Just because we graduate doesn't mean we are done learning. We must never stop.
